PCCAN Angel Tree

Throughout the generosity of the community and the support from local businesses, hundreds of kids from identified families are able to receive Christmas gifts each year through our Angel Tree Program.

Families are referred to from our partner agencies. Families then fill out a form to let us know their needs and child’s interests.

PCCAN delivers Christmas trees to participating local stores which have paper angels (containing gift requests) on them. Then community members shop for their angel’s gift and return the items to the store or Rolla Chamber of Commerce office. Donations are also very much appreciated to help fill the gaps of those presents that do not get purchased.

Our PCCAN volunteers work hard every Christmas organizing, delivering gifts, and helping families wrap presents.

Volunteers to wrap gifts are always welcome. PCCAN supplies the gift-wrapping items through generous donations.

PCCAN Healthy Baby

PCCAN’s Health Baby event is held every year in September, since 2006. This event is designed to support parents in Phelps County with childcare supplies and provide educational parenting classes. In addition, community organizations are available during the event to deliver information about Phelps County child advocacy support programs and materials.

Free car seats are available through this event by Rolla Fire & Rescue. If you are in need of a car seat at any time during the year, please contact the Phelps-Dent County Health Department or Rolla Fire & Rescue.

Take-A-Stand Against Child Abuse

A group of concerned citizens in Phelps County created Take-A-Stand against Child Abuse in 1996. And together, we’ve raised more than $1,000,000.

Lemonade stands are set up throughout the Phelps County community by local businesses, families, and agencies. T-shirts featuring the artwork of a local child are sold prior to the event. The funds raised are given to local agencies providing child abuse prevention services.
