We all want to keep kids safe & healthy.

Despite our efforts, there are still things that put children at risk. Knowing how to identify and respond to these risk makes a huge difference.

PCCAN has been helping people keep kids safe since 1993 through a variety of data-driven services and programs. We use evidence-based education, training, and programs to equip you to offset the risks to our youth. Whether you choose to volunteer at a PCCAN event, give a donation, or take advantage of our resources, there are many ways for you to make a difference.

Work alongside us, as we work toward causes important to all children in Phelps County.

The mission of Phelps County Child Advocacy Network is to increase public awareness and effective community action in the prevention of child abuse and neglect and the reduction of youth substance use.

Originally named the Phelps County Committee to Prevent Child Abuse, the grassroots organization began in 1993 when Margaret Miller and several other key community members came together to develop strategies to address concerns about child abuse and neglect. Through their passion, commitment and initial success in raising awareness and building an effective coalition of local professionals, the Phelps County Child Advocacy Network was born.

Since then, we have established a close partnership with Phelps County Bank, raising over 1 million dollars since 1995 through the annual Take-a-Stand Against Child Abuse fundraiser. Together, we have provided support to many local agencies and individuals. Together, we continue to create a safer community for our kids.

With fundraising and generous donations, we are honored to provide car seats to families in need, aid in mentoring programs, assist in programs for kids victim of sexual abuse and other child-safety initiatives. In addition, through grant funding, we have youth substance use prevention programs addressing underage drinking & tobacco, prescription drug misuse, vaping & youth marijuana use.

We are always eager for support and engagement from those who share our common goal: to raise healthier, happier kids in Phelps County.
