St. James Health and Wellness Fair to be held on Tuesday, July 13th

July 9, 2021- for immediate release- Phelps County Child Advocacy’s (PCCAN) Drug Free Communities (DFC) Task Force will make an appearance at the St. James Health and Wellness fair on Tuesday, July 13th. The fair, hosted by Head Start and Your Community Health Center, will take place at Nelson Hart Park in St. James from 2 to 6 pm and is completely free to the public. 

PCCAN and the DFC Task Force plan to have finger-painting, popsicles, a duck pond, and more activities and goodies for kids! Parents can also find family resources at the booth. Please swing by the Health and Wellness Fair next week to visit PCCAN and other local vendors for food, music, games, and fun! 

The Drug Free Communities Task Force is dedicated to reducing the negative impacts of substance use. Each member represents an organization who is eager to promote healthy and drug-free lifestyles for the youth in Phelps County. The Task Force is responsible for a variety of initiatives, such as hosting town hall meetings, designing educational pieces for parents, and sponsoring a drug-free youth coalition.
