June 30, 2021- for immediate release- Phelps County Child Advocacy Network, partnered with Phelps County Bank is excited to kick of the 26th annual Take-A-Stand Against Child Abuse fundraiser next week, Friday, July 9th. The campaign will go until Friday, July 16th.
In the past 25 years, a total of over half a million dollars has been raised from this event. The funds raised from Take a Stand are distributed to local agencies to provide child safety and substance use prevention initiatives.
The traditional lemonade stands will not be a part of this year’s campaign due to COVID-19. However, PCB and PCCAN are still encouraging community involvement. Those who donate can receive a t-shirt for a $10 donation, or a hat or treasure box for a $5 donation. Donations can be made on Phelps County Bank’s website here: https://www.mypcb.com/about-pcb/take-a-stand-donations
Orders can be picked up from the PCB locations starting July 9th. Starting July 12th, PCB will also be selling extra shirts and Take-A-Stand items. Finally, the community is encouraged to wear their t-shirts on Friday, July 16th.
PCCAN would like to thank Phelps County Bank and the community for the ongoing support that has resulted in providing a variety of services to local families and kids throughout the years.
